This very early bloomer is located at 1476 Juniper Street in Coos Bay, OR. The owner of the property says the rhododendron's name is Fireman John. It was a big plant when he planted it in 1983. The photo was taken February 12th, 2011. Update February 13th, 2012. This beautiful plant has about one dozen trusses open.
